If you were unfamiliar with Angel Studios’ Sound of Freedom when it hit theaters last summer, that has probably changed by now. After opening in theaters on July 4, Sound of Freedom took in $184.2 million domestically and $242.6 million worldwide. But if you haven’t seen Sound of Freedom in theaters, it is now streaming and it may soon be available on one of the biggest streaming platforms in the world.
Person of Interest and The Passion of the Christ star Jim Caviezel headlines the film as Tim Ballard, a former Homeland Security agent who founded Operation Underground Railroad, an organization dedicated to fighting child trafficking around the world. The film purports to be based on the true story of Ballard’s mission to save children from sex traffickers in Colombia.

Alejandro Monteverde directed Sound of Freedom and co-wrote the script with Rod Barr. Mira Sorvino co-stars in the film as Katherine Ballard, with Bill Camp as Vampiro, Kurt Fuller as Frost, Gary Basaraba as Earl Buchanan, José Zúñiga as Roberto, Gerardo Taracena as El Alacrán, Scott Haze as Chris, Eduardo Verástegui as Paul, Javier Godino as Jorge, and Gustavo Sánchez Parra as El Calacas.
Now, we’ll answer your burning questions about Sound of Freedom.
Where can you watch Sound of Freedom?
Now that its successful run in theaters is over, Sound of Freedom is currently streaming at Angel Studios, the streaming site that shares the name with the studio that produced the film and sold tickets for it online last summer.
Angel Studios is somewhat of a niche streamer, with a lot of faith-based programing. It also costs $20 on a month-to-month basis, and $175 for a yearly subscription.
Will Sound of Freedom be available to stream on other outlets?
Yes. In fact, it’s currently available to rent and buy on multiple digital outlets. And rumor has it that Sound of Freedom will come to Prime Video on December 26. However, that has not yet been confirmed by Amazon.
