If we go back to our Ryzen 2000 Series APU review, it is clear that the Ryzen 3 2200G ($99) and Ryzen 5 2400G ($169) are true winners when it comes to building a gaming system on a budget, without making too much of a sacrifice, especially when focusing on popular gaming titles that do not require ultimate horsepower. Puting the Zen architecture with a good amount of Vega cores is mouthwatering for budget aficionados, as Intel offers nothing for this performance at this price.
The last time we visited TI's OMAP 4 SoC was at Mobile World Congress, there we benchmarked the LG Optimus 3D and came away decently impressed with performance even on a pre-launch device. Back then, Anand wrote that the remainder of this year and the next is going to be a heated battle for dual core and quad core SoCs fighting in the tablet and smartphone space. After today, you can add Windows 8 to that list as well.
Quick Sync Performance With more graphics EUs under the hood of all desktop Haswells (at least those launching today), Quick Sync performance improves a bit over Ivy Bridge. Intel claims to have focused heavily on improving the quality of Quick Sync transcodes however in my testing I saw a slight regression in quality. I didn’t have a ton of time to dig further to find out what’s going on but I plan on doing so post-Computex.
Rampage IV Extreme In The Box
The Rampage IV Extreme should bring in the motherboard. If it helps the users, it should be in here. What we have:
Rear IO Panel
User Guide
Driver CD
OC Key
Q-Connectors
X-Socket (for LGA1366 compatibility)
Eight SATA Cables
Large 2-way SLI Bridge
Rigid 3-way SLI Bridge
Rigid 4-way SLI Bridge
Large 2-way CrossFire Bridge
The surprise here comes in the addition of a CrossFire bridge, something you almost never see in an Intel bundle.
After almost seven years in the making, the Reno Public Market officially celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting event.
Reno Public Market Partner, Rick Casazza, says, "Throughout those years we went through numerous remodels, re-tenanting, as most centers do throughout those years. This last one was the biggest one we've ever done. We're about fifty-eight million dollars in this remodel, we brought on partners for this project, and it's so gratifying for my brothers, sisters, and I.
