Josh Hart biography
Moses and Pat Hart welcomed Hart into the world on March 6, 1995, in Silver Spring, Maryland. Moses Joseph Hart and Aimee Hart are his siblings.
In addition, Elston Howard, a baseball catcher, is his great-nephew. Growing up, Hart favoured basketball and developed a reputation as a player with lots of vigour. Although Hart was a basketball prodigy from an early age, private schools were uninterested in him, so he enrolled in Wheaton High School.
Before transferring to Sidwell Friends School, he temporarily attended Wheaton. As a junior, he averaged 20.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per game there. However, a number of students and parents petitioned the school to grant him a second opportunity after he was almost expelled from school for receiving subpar grades.
Hart led the club to a 22-9 record as a senior by averaging 24.3 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game. He was The Washington Post’s first-team All-Met pick and Rivals.com’s 82nd-ranked talent in the class of 2013. Hart signed a letter of commitment with Villanova in November 2012 after taking Penn State and Rutgers into consideration.
